About Obscured Edge

We are not masters of design, creative geniuses, artistic savants, or programming experts.  Instead, we are students of human condition.  We use our attempted understanding to create what we see as new design and new narrative for the medium of Video Games.  How should a platformer really be designed for a touch screen?  Is there a better design than a d-pad drawn to the screen?  Or how would an 18 year old psychologically respond to cutting her way through swaths of zombies?  Obscured Edge aims to answer these sorts of questions in our own way, through the experiences we design.

Our leaders:

Alex Soule is a Computer Scientist by day, and a Video Game Designer by night.  When he’s not busy designing evil by moonlight, he can be found playing Video Games, enjoying a nice microbrewed beer, or hosting a board game night with his friends.

Joseph Cordes is an Architect of building designs, and level design.  He is also the Lead Art Director at Obscured Edge.  This is mostly a placeholder, until he writes his own description.

Our plans:

Right now, Obscured Edge is working heavily with Unity3D to create some really great mobile titles that we will give more detail about in our Posts section.
